THE PROJECT

The property has a number of units/townhouses/apartments during which a number of apartments located at the bottom corner of the property were flooding during the wet months, this resulted in one property having most of its back yard eroded away. TDK Civil were engaged to upgrade the existing storm water system to meet new engineering designs which included installing new larger concrete pits/ storm water pipe. Works included reinstating concrete driveways and underpinning the corner of the complex due to it being undermined from water overflow. This created many challenges, one of which was the slope of the property which created access issue. To be able to underpin the building a concrete beam retaining wall supported on concrete piers was constructed. Once cured, the building was underpinned using high flow cementitious backfill. The backyard was reinstated with a new fence, imported top soil and grass seeded.
